On August 12–13, 2025, researchers from UkrMIAPI visited Standard Eco Agro LLC in the Volyn region to provide regular consulting services and to assess the vegetation status of Miscanthus × giganteus Prometheus.
This variety is cultivated at the above-mentioned company on an area of 5.1 hectares using planting material supplied by the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet (IBCSB) in the spring of 2025.
With high survival rates and plant density – 25,000 plants per hectare – the projected yield of bioenergy biomass and the production of planting material is expected to support the large-scale introduction of this environmentally efficient variety on low-productivity lands of Polissya.
Further steps regarding area expansion and technology improvement were discussed.
