On September 22, scientists from the NGO "Ukrainian International Institute of Agro-Industrial Engineering" participated in the UABIO Friday online seminar.
Experts in energy crop cultivation — Stepan Kushnir, Director of Miscanthus Technology LLC and Head of the NGO "Khmelnytskyi Energy Cluster," and Vadym Krychkivskyi, Co-founder of Miscanthus Technology LLC and Director of Organic-D LLC — shared their experience in growing miscanthus, discussed the specifics of planting, and the possibilities for processing this energy crop.
The ambitious goal of the company “Miscanthus Technology” is to plant a miscanthus plantation covering an area of 2,500 hectares.
TOGETHER WITH EXPERTS AND PARTICIPANTS, THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WERE DISCUSSED:
- Issues related to planting an industrial miscanthus plantation in 2023: technical and organizational aspects of the process.
- Processing challenges and risk management during scaling on large areas.
- Industry prospects and practical advice for business development.
Suggestions for improving the discussed issues were provided by the Director of the NGO "Ukrainian International Institute of Agro-Industrial Engineering," Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Ivanovych Kravchuk.
