The Director of the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beets of NAAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Academician of NAAS of Ukraine M.V. Roik, and Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of NAAS of Ukraine V.I. Kravchuk, who also represented the NGO "Ukrainian International Institute of Agro-Industrial Engineering," participated in the International Conference organized by the FAO Regional Office in Ukraine on the topic: “Unused Bioenergy: Ukraine’s Potential.”
The conference was held as a dialogue among various stakeholders including representatives from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food; Ministry of Energy; State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine; scientists; international organizations and financial institutions; associations; business communities; producers of biomethane and biofuel; and other market players.
Based on the presentations (by M.V. Roik) and speeches (by V.I. Kravchuk), the conference will serve as a platform for exchanging information on existing approaches, challenges, and prospects for the further development of bioenergy and biofuels in Ukraine.
