It is widely known that experiments are a fundamental tool for the development of science. Not everyone may share this postulate, declaring that, for example, in the technologies of sugar beet cultivation or the growing of bioenergy crops, everything has already been studied. Yet the scientists of UkrMIAPI cannot be persuaded onto this path, as we are firmly convinced that through observation, experimentation, and analysis, researchers identify patterns, confirm or refute ideas, and thereby contribute to the formation of reliable knowledge. This, in turn, facilitates the transfer of scientific achievements into production, which is especially vital in challenging times for Ukraine.
In Photo No. 1, researchers from UkrMIAPI and the Bila Tserkva State Agricultural Research Station conduct experiments within the project “Development of Intelligent Systems for Continuous Determination of Soil Agrophysical Indicators in Sugar Beet Cultivation Technologies.”
In Photo No. 2, experiments are underway to improve the technologies of growing planting material (rhizomes) of the miscanthus variety Prometheus, developed at the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beets with the participation of UkrMIAPI scientists.
The researchers report that the results are promising and will soon be published in scientific papers, patents, and production recommendations.
